F Concept Dining by Buffalo Kitchens

Pppsssttt…… I found a place in Bangsar that’s nice to hang out with friends over good food and coffee.  Can you guess where these stairs will lead me too?

It’s F Concept Dining by Buffalo Kitchens located on top of Chawan, opposite Bangsar Village II.

F Concept Dining by Buffalo Kitchens has an open kitchen concept that greets you as you enter.  Nothing beats seeing hunky handsome Chefs preparing your food right before your eyes right? ;)

Showing you the ambience and deco in F Concept Dining by Buffalo Kitchens.  It’s a great place to throw a party or have an event.

Alright, let’s get down to what’s on our table that night.

 Duo of Crabs

We started off with Duo of Crabs where one gets a whole soft shell crab that is atop a crab cake.  Served with greens and dipping sauce, this is good for me coz I’m the type that is lazy to use my fingers to have my crabs.

F Tapas Set

The next that was presented is the F Tapas Set.  Lovely combination of Smoked Duck, Smoked Salmon, Hummus, Tiger Prawns, Japanese Tataki Beef, Freshly Baked Sour Dough Bread, EVOO, Olives, Almonds, Grilled Bell Pepper and Smoked Sea Salt.

This is officially my first time having a whole set of Tapas where I can take my time to try out each item. Especially love the combination of smoked duck with crispy fresh apples.  The Sour Dough Bread is good that it can be eaten on it’s own!

Mix Warm Vegetable Salad

Instead of the usual cold salad, one can have this plate of Mix Warm Vegetable Salad where the greens are grilled and roasted. Drizzled with warm vinaigrette, it’s a lovely vegetable salad to have with different biting texture.

Pot of Oriental Steam Clams

This pot has me excited.  I had a similar pot of clams in Singapore previously when I was there for a Business Trip.  This Pot of Oriental Steam Clams is just bursting with aroma and flavours.  The clams are cooked just right and one can chomp on a clam with the juice bursting out! Don’t forget to “drink” the sauce! Give me another pot anytime and I’ll bet it’ll be gone within minutes :D

In between your meals, sip a wine or two to enhance the flavours of your dishes ;)  I always love White Wine and this  Anakena Sauvignon Blanc a Chilean wine is smooth for my palate.

Tandoori Chicken Burger

If you’re a fan of burgers, you’ll be happy to check out Buffalo Kitchen’s Tandoori Chicken Burger.  Thick juicy chicken meat layered with lettuce, tomatoes, fried egg and cheese, the burger is juicy although I didn’t find it spicy enough.  Served with chips on the side, this is one good hearty meal.

Beef Tenderlion with Duck Fat Potatoes & Snow Peas

This is one chunky juicy piece of Beef Tenderlion.  While my other foodie friends eyed the Duck Fat Potatoes, I eyed the Beef Tenderlion LOL!! It even came with a slab of foie gras.  Definitely for beef lovers.

Oven Roasted Chicken Chestnut Roulade stuffed with Foie Gras & Shitake Mushroom

The name itself already sounds interesting for me as it denotes so many stuffed items in this dish!  You have chicken, chestnut, foie gras and shitake mushroom.  Alright, I must admit that the foie gras there really caught my attention!

I’m one that usually avoid chicken meat as in breast meat.  I like to have the boney part if you get my drift.  This Roasted Chicken Chestnut Roulade however is a different story.  The meat is tender, succulent combined with filling and creamy sauce, it’s going to be on my list of must haves.

Soft Shell Crab and Miso Carbonara

Creamy  based pasta is not my type.  Although I didn’t try this for it’s creamy based, this is not your usual carbonara with bacon bits.  This dish is laced with miso and comes with clams, prawns and soft shell crab.  My fellow foodies was enjoying themselves tucking into this.  Maybe I should “learn” to enjoy creamy based pasta from now….

Cumin & Paprika Marinated Lamb Shank

As you may or may not already know (well now you know :p), I’m still learning to acquire the taste of lamb/mutton.  Am pretty sensitive to it’s flavours.  I tried a small piece of meat and it’s good especially when taken with the creamy mashed potatoes and sauce.

Cuttlefish Squid Ink Risotto

Cuttlefish Squid Ink Risotto happens to be the Weekly Special when we were there.  Tender pieces of cuttlefish is served with black squid ink risotto.  Prawn head is used as the stock thus one really gets a very flavourful risotto.  A must order if you see it being the Weekly Special.

For red meat, you can always pair it with a good Red Wine. De Bortoli Shiraz Cabernet, an Australian wine makes a good partner.

Lime & Mint Sorbet

After such flavourful tantalising meal, Buffalo Kitchen gave each of us a palate cleanser.

If you think we’re done here, stay a bit more for it’s dessert time!! :D

Home Made Tiramisu

I’m a Tiramisu fan and this Home Made Tiramisu is light yet flavourful enough.

Choclate Volcano with Vanilla Ice-Cream

Another signature dessert would be the Chocolate Volcano with Vanilla Ice-Cream.  Dark Chocolate with molten centre, one just cannot stop spooning it mouthful after mouthful.  It’s so good that all of us cleaned up this plate!!

We unwind ourselves then with some unique combination drinks that comes with catchy names :D

Cafe Honey Melon (combination of coffee and tea), Good Day (combination of coffee and orange) and Cafe Watermelon (as the name indicates, combination of coffee and watermelon)

If these drinks is not your glass of coffee, go for a cup of good latte that comes with fantastic art!
