Mid-Autumn Festival is just about a week away falling on Thursday, September 19th this year. Have you got your share of mooncakes to be eaten as well as for your love ones? This year I was introduced to a Hong Kong brand call Mei-Xin Mooncakes. It’s a famous brand in Hong Kong and has now landed on our shores!

Mei-Xin White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake. Comes in regular and mini size.
The texture of this white lotus seed is so fine that it’s a all you feel is smoothness of the white lotus seed paste. The mini version is low in sugar and personally I prefer the mini version for it’s less sweet.
Besides the fine texture of the white lotus seed paste, I love it that Mei-Xin’s mooncake skin is thin crust and not thick. This only means that it contains a lot more of the paste

Mei-Xin Mixed Nuts Mooncake
This mooncake is packed to the brim with mixed nuts! Each bite ensures that you get a taste of almonds, walnuts, olive seeds, sesame seeds and melon seeds. Not overly sweet by the winter melon that it contains, this is perfect if you love biting texture.
Have you had Egg Custard Mooncake before? It’s my first time and Mei-Xin Premium Egg Custard Mooncake is a delight itself to look at. Eluding the glowing orangy colour, this Egg Custard Mooncake is best eaten warm.

When this platter of Snowy Premium Mooncake Series was placed on the table, everyone went “oohh-ahhh” and then I spotted it. I spotted the DEVIL!! smack right in the middle of the platter.
Admist this “DEVIL” is gorgeous looking pastel coloured snowy mooncakes. Made from natural ingredients, no artificial colouring was added. The texture of this Snowy mooncakes is chewy and frankly speaking for one (me!!) who is choosy when it comes to snowy mooncakes, I love this Mei-Xin Snowy Premium Mooncakes! Felt like having mochi, only better

Devil Dark Chocolate Crunch
The flavours Mei-Xin Snowy series offers is refreshing as well. Particularly I love the Passion Fruit & Pamelo and the Devil Dark Chocolate Crunch. Having this as dessert will definitely end the meal lovingly for the Passion Fruit is not too strong. Passion Fruit + Pamelo, a perfect combination for me as I love these two fruits.
The other one that I want to highlight that I’m sure kids will love (including me!) is the Devil Dark Chocolate Crunch. Made from the finest chocolate, it contains bits of crispy rice. It’s like heaven biting into this with bits of crispy here and there. Beautiful!
